You Have To Wait A Lil Longer For Lil Wayne’s Movie Debut

Times are tough, even for the top rappers in the music industry. As we previously reported, Lil Wayne put the release of his Champagne line on “indefinate hold” due to the current economy, now his debut film has reportedly been pushed back to March of next year.

Weezy is set to star in the new film “Hurricane Season” along with fellow rapper Bow Wow, Oscar winning actor Forest Whitaker, Isaiah Washington and Taraji P Henson.

The movie follows a post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans high school basketball team as they overcome hardships on their way to the state championship.

“The market is really crowded for the Christmas films and they were looking for a strategic month to release it in,” a source close to the movie told us, continuing “It recently tested very good in the 90’s with audiences, so I think it will do pretty well in the theater.”
